Working From Home(WFH) or anywhere has become a norm during COVID lockdowns. WFH is particularly true for most “knowledge workers!“. WFH is here to stay even in post COVID era.
During this presentation and discussion, we will explore:
1) What this means to you and your organisation in the future and
2) How to leverage this situation to your advantage.
Some of us in the management consulting profession were exposed to “working from home” for the first time just after the 9/11 incident in the USA.
The 9/11 incident halted most corporate travels and a good proportion of consultants who were “road warriors” during that time. Those “road warrior” consultants turned to remote work practices such as Webex-based video conferencing to deliver their services.
Since 2001, many consulting businesses have transformed themselves, and also some small business owners have done the same by leveraging technologies to their advantage.
Such slow progression of transformation of remote work over two decades has been “put on steroid” since the current pandemic hit us, and “working from home” has suddenly accelerated to become the norm for many of us.
Such work from home practices will be likely to remain in some form even in the post-COVID-19 era.
Therefore, it is vital for all, including those who own a business or simply want to get ahead in your career, to manage a team working from a remote location from you or yourself working remotely from your home located away from the rest.
No matter your current working circumstances, you will be dealing with remote work situations very frequently personally or with your colleagues and outsiders such as external service providers to your business.
Therefore to become more successful or even to simply survive in the modern business world, you need to quickly master the art of working from home or working remotely.
In the upcoming mini-training session, we will share some of our experience working remotely and managing large scale projects. We will also discuss how some people use what they already know to earn a living working from home independently.
So we invite you to join us, learn from our presentation and share your experiences when working from home so that we can learn from each other.
